Test 3

For time to time I use this blog as a testing grounds for new ideas and new ways of blogging. This article for example has been written on phone using the blogger app. It actually has some great built in sharing capabilities that I would recommend checking out. New posts to come soon.

Sealand

I saw an article about Sealand and just had to share it, enjoy.

For some background, I have tried to get baron-ship in Sealand by emailing the address on the official page, but I haven't heard back( Note, you can simply buy lordship, but as a poor american college student, it is expensive).

Freedom of Speech under attack. The internal battle with ourselves.

In Virginia a 17 year old plead guilty to charges of using bitcoin to aid a terrorist group. He may face 15 years of prison time. The Guardian says :

A tech-savvy US teenager has pleaded guilty to using social media to aid the Islamic State group, a crime punishable by up to 15 years in prison, the Justice Department said.

I have to pose the question: What did this person do that was illegal?

Is it illegal that he expressed his opinion? Certainly supporting Isis would seem to be bad, but is it illegal for he to say that he supports them?

Maybe advocating that people send bitcoin to ISIL was illegal? Is it legal to send the money you have earned to radical Islamists?

Perhaps the terrorist angle makes it illegal. America citizens are entitled to freedom of speech. Unless it involves terrorists. If that's the case, no warrants needed the government can arrest and detain you and undefined amount of time.

A Bard's tale of hell

While playing Dnd, our party was faced with certain death as a dragon was going to kill us. Luckily a a demonic donkey offered us safe passage though hell. As a bard I crafted a song of the tale. Enjoy!

come patrons  gather round
and hear the lyrics that I sound
Listen here and I will tell
about how me and my comrades all went to hell!
A mystical donkey gave us a pass
and in hell we went ,alas
but return we could not, oh what an ass
so there we were without a guide
a group of devils we soon spied
safe passage for souls the devils cried
but witty and brave we saved the day
we wrestled the demons and sent them away
then up to masasasa we soon advanced
and with our courage he was entranced
so passage home we demanded
then back we went, more stranded
through thick and thin we traveled hell
now home we are, it all was swell

The Gospel of Judas

Like any normal person, late in the night when I can’t sleep I browse wikipedia.  Some how from a chain of one article to the next, I found  myself on some strange, or rather, interesting pages. Recently I stumbled upon some of the apocrypha and the gnostic gospels. I decided to look into one of the more notable apostles, Judas.

The Gospel of Judas, like much of the ancient texts of ( potential I guess I might add)scripture that was not chosen to be in the bible, is not in the best condition and, big chunks are missing from it. Things like Jesus saying, now what I’m going to tell you is really important [ 10 lines of text missing].... and that is the answers to everything you need to know in life. Great, thanks Judas. The overall tone of the piece I think is a bit questionable. The portrayal of Jesus here is very unlike any of the canonized gospels. Here in multiple instances Judas says, “ Jesus Laughed”, and the apostles in both instances ask, why are you laughing at us? this are the very character of the piece make me question its authenticity. However, I am no bible scholar, so I know not.

The  Gospel of Judas provides an interesting perspective on number of topics. For instance it gives an alternative creation story. It also contains a section on Judas fate. If you are interested, here is the link to the text.
